Lea County Welcomes New Airport Manager Allan Mantle

Lea County is pleased to announce that Allan Mantle joined the organization on April 13, 2026, as the new Airport Manager for Lea County Regional Airport.

Allan brings extensive experience in airport operations, aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and airport security. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in FAA Part 139 airport certification requirements, airport security programs, emergency response coordination, airfield inspections, wildlife hazard management, construction oversight, safety practices, and team leadership. His background also includes experience at Washington Dulles International Airport, where he worked in several operational roles and discovered his passion for airport operations.

Originally from Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, Allan developed an interest in aviation while taking flight lessons at Manassas Regional Airport in Virginia. While pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Aviation Administration, he began working at Dulles International Airport and quickly found a career path that combined his passion for aviation, public safety, and airport management.

Outside of work, Allan is a devoted father who enjoys spending time with his son. He also enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and nature adventures, as well as listening to music and playing drums. His other interests include off-roading, stand-up paddleboarding, and snowboarding.

Allan is passionate about airport operations and is excited to be part of the Lea County team. We are pleased to welcome him to our organization and look forward to the experience, leadership, and dedication he brings to the Lea County Regional Airport.
